Principles and Rationale
In the context of ongoing global economic, social, and environmental transformations, countries worldwide are facing complex and interconnected structural challenges across multiple dimensions. The United Nations has established the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a shared framework for global action, aiming to promote balanced, inclusive, and sustainable development in the long term. These goals encompass reducing inequalities, improving quality of life, protecting natural resources, and strengthening governance systems.
Achieving the SDGs in tangible and meaningful ways requires the integration of knowledge across disciplines, the linkage between academic research and policy formulation as well as local-level implementation, and strong collaboration among higher education institutions, government agencies, the private sector, and civil society. Such collaborative efforts are essential for developing effective mechanisms that respond to the continuously evolving societal context.
The 22nd National and International Conference, under the theme “Integrating the Sustainable Development Goals for a Resilient and Inclusive Society,” plays a vital role as an academic platform for the exchange of knowledge, research, innovation, and best practices among scholars, researchers, and practitioners from both domestic and international contexts. The conference aims to synthesize policy recommendations and development approaches that can be practically applied at local, national, and international levels, ultimately contributing to a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable society in all dimensions.
Objectives
1.To serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge, research, and innovations with an emphasis on multidisciplinary integration at both national and international levels.
2.To support the integration of academic knowledge into policy formulation and practical implementation at both local and national levels.
3.To promote academic collaboration among scholars, researchers, higher education institutions, and networks at both national and international levels.
4.To enhance the capacity of early-career researchers and academics in producing and disseminating scholarly work in international academic forums.
